Metro Jaya Police Narcotics Directorate Thwarts 32kg Methamphetamine Trafficking from Malaysia
The Narcotics Investigation Directorate of Jakarta Metro Police disrupted the circulation of 32 kilograms of methamphetamine allegedly sourced from Malaysian drug networks. Assistant Head of Section 3, Narcotics Investigation Directorate, AKBP Ade Candra reported that the operation took place on 9 May 2026 in North Jakarta.
East Jakarta Prosecutors Establish Three Suspects in 9 Billion Rupiah Sewing Machine Procurement
The East Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office has named three individuals as suspects in an alleged corruption case involving the procurement of sewing machines valued at 9 billion rupiah by the Sub-Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperative and Small-Medium Business Affairs (Sudin PPKUKM) in East Jakarta.
“The Special Crime Investigation team of East Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office has summoned three witnesses and conducted witness examinations in the alleged corruption case related to the provision of production facility infrastructure in the implementation of new industrial entrepreneurship development. We have obtained sufficient evidence to elevate three witnesses to suspect status,” stated Head of East Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office Topik Gunawan in Jakarta on Tuesday.
West Jakarta Immigration Arrests Four Foreign Nationals in Payment App Fraud Scheme
The Class I Special Immigration Office for Non-Deportation Jakarta West arrested four Chinese nationals at a residential unit in West Jakarta, allegedly involved in online fraud schemes operating under the guise of payment applications. The four foreign nationals, identified as LY (34), QZ (42), ZZ (32), and WJ (24), were apprehended in the West Jakarta area on Monday (18 May).
Man Carrying Loaded Revolver Arrested in Penjaringan
Metro Penjaringan Police arrested a man identified as ERK for allegedly carrying a loaded mini revolver containing five bullets and brandishing it at residents in the Jembatan DHI area, Kapuk Raya Street, Kapuk Muara Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.
“This incident originated when two witnesses identified as SR and CL were socialising at the scene and the suspect passed by on motorcycle with a friend while staring at witness SR and CL, resulting in a misunderstanding,” said Metro Penjaringan Police Chief, AKBP Agta Bhuwana Putra, accompanied by Criminal Investigation Head AKP Sampson Sosa Hutapea in Jakarta on Thursday.
Jakarta Metro Police Releases Examination Results of Model in Alleged Robbery Case
Metro Jaya Police released examination findings for a model identified as AWS who was allegedly the victim of armed robbery in West Jakarta, a case that went viral on social media, on Saturday (16 May).
Head of Metro Jaya Police’s Public Relations Division, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, stated on Friday that following forensic examination of the injuries sustained by the victim, the wounds were determined not to have been inflicted by a robbery perpetrator.
