Wednesday: Mobile Driving Licence Service Available at Five Jakarta Locations

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police is providing mobile driving licence (SIM) renewal services at five locations across Jakarta on Wednesday to facilitate residents wishing to extend the validity of their legal driving permits.

According to the official X (Twitter) account of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Management Centre, the service locations are as follows:

East Jakarta: Grand Cakung Mall North Jakarta: LTC Glodok South Jakarta: Trilogi University Campus, Kalibata Central Jakarta: Lapangan Banteng Post Office West Jakarta: South Lobby, Ciputra Mall

The service operates from 08:00 to 14:00 Western Indonesian Time (WIB). Documents required include a valid photocopy of one’s national identity card (KTP), a photocopy and original of the existing driving licence, a health check certificate, and proof of a psychological test.

The mobile SIM counters only handle renewals of still-valid licences for specific categories, namely SIM A (passenger vehicles) and SIM C (motorcycles).

Regarding renewal fees, in accordance with Government Regulation (PP) Number 60 of 2016 on Non-Tax State Revenue, the cost is Rp80,000 for SIM A and Rp75,000 for SIM C.

Renewals for SIM B category licences cannot be processed at mobile SIM counters. SIM B renewals may only be carried out at dedicated Driving Licence Administration Units (Satpas) due to differing documentation requirements, given that this licence category is designated for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes.
