Wednesday: Jewellery and Luxury Handbags Seized in Harvey Moeis Case to be Auctioned at BPA Fair 2026

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) of the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office will auction jewellery and luxury handbags seized in the Harvey Moeis corruption case on the third day of BPA Fair 2026, on Wednesday 20 May 2026. ‘BPA announced that the auction on Wednesday, 20 May 2026 will focus on several valuable lots belonging to the convicted person Harvey Moeis, such as jewellery and luxury handbags,’ said Anang Supriatna, Head of the Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General’s Office, in a statement on Tuesday 19 May 2026. According to him, vehicle assets and an apartment belonging to Harvey Moeis will also be included in the agenda of the next stage of the auction in the near future. Head of BPA Kuntadi said that the second-day auction was competitive and resulted in a significant price increase above the limit value. ‘From today's auction results, there were many participants and enthusiastic bidding. The bidding developments were tight, so we achieved an increase of Rp 1.65 billion,’ he said. Several luxury vehicles seized from the corruption case were sold at high values. One example: a Harley Davidson Road Glide Blue Shark motorcycle owned by convict Rajo Emirsyah was sold for Rp 901,445,700 above a limit price of Rp 87,445,700. In addition, the BMW owned by convict Denden Imadudin Soleh was sold for Rp 1,157,078,800, while a black metallic Mercedes-Benz fetched Rp 915,874,400. BPA also auctioned assets seized from PT Lintang Daya Selaras, including a BMW R 1200 GS Adventure motorcycle sold for Rp 288,776,000 and a Harley Davidson FLHTC motorcycle for Rp 257,547,600. Kuntadi said they would evaluate unsold assets so they can be offered again in the next auction. ‘This will be our evaluation to understand why they did not sell and what steps should be taken so that they can be sold at the next auction,’ he said. He assured that all auction processes are conducted openly and transparently, both online and with on-site assistance at the BPA Fair site. Kuntadi added that by mid-May 2026, BPA had secured around one-third of its Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) target for 2026, which is set at more than Rp 3 trillion. ‘This BPA Fair, we hope, will act as a catalyst for the ecosystem. In the future, such transparent and open auction activities will be carried out on a mass scale across all High Prosecutor Offices in Indonesia,’ he said. The husband of actress Sandra Dewi was sentenced to 20 years in prison in the aforementioned case and has an irrevocable verdict.
