Webinar on Digital and Automation for Future Careers: UTB Enhances Participants' Skills
Bandung Technology University (UTB) has undertaken a strategic collaboration with Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and UiPath in a webinar entitled “Digital and Automation for Future Careers”, held on Thursday, 30 April 2026.
The event was attended by thousands of UTB students both in-person and online, demonstrating high enthusiasm for the increasingly relevant issues of digital transformation and automation in the current job market. The webinar featured RPA Consultant from IDStar, Mochamad Jehan Pahlepi, who discussed the role of digitalisation and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in driving work efficiency across various sectors. RPA is said to be capable of automating repetitive tasks, making business processes faster, more accurate, and with minimal errors.
In the educational environment, the application of RPA is considered relevant for supporting campus operations, from system monitoring and database management to report summarisation. UTB’s Vice Rector for Public Relations, Collaboration, and Alumni, Danny Aidil Rismayadi, emphasised the importance of students’ readiness to face increasingly digitalised industrial changes. A similar sentiment was expressed by the CEO of ONE Indonesia, Roslani Christianti, who assessed that university-industry collaborations open up broad opportunities, from career preparation and research to joint internship programmes.
In his presentation, Mochamad Jehan Pahlepi explained that RPA is software that mimics human actions to perform repetitive tasks in business processes, making work faster, more efficient, and with minimal errors. He also explained the application of RPA in various fields, including in educational and campus environments.
This material aligns with the explanation that RPA can assist work processes such as system monitoring, database management, and operational report summarisation more effectively.
Jehan also delivered an important message to students not to fear the continuously evolving technological developments.
“Do not close yourself off to new trends. Continuously learn about the developments in RPA tools because they will generally integrate with other technologies. What you learn today, develop by understanding the next digital trends. Do not hesitate to start from the basics, because in the future everything will be interconnected, including with RPA,” he said.
Meanwhile, Roslani Christianti conveyed that opportunities for collaboration between the industrial world and the campus, particularly Bandung Technology University, are very wide open. According to her, cooperation can be carried out from various aspects, starting from students, alumni, lecturers, to joint research and internship activities.
“The collaboration between ONE Indonesia and Bandung Technology University is very open, from strengthening students’ career readiness to joint research and internships. Supported by Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison and UiPath, the current discussion focuses on RPA, but in the future it can expand to AI, digital technology, and AI Interview and AI Assessment to support work readiness,” she said.
