Weaving Togetherness in Ramadan, BRI Supports Quality Journalism
Jakarta, VIVA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the quality of the public information space through a strategic collaboration with the Forum Pemimpin Redaksi (Forum Pemred). In the face of digital disruption and a flood of information that is increasingly hard to verify, support for quality journalism is seen as essential to maintaining economic stability and public trust.
The strengthening of synergy between BRI and quality journalism was packaged in a silaturahmi forum titled “Buka Puasa Bersama Pemimpin Redaksi” (Breaking Fast Together with Redaksi Leaders). Attendees included BRI’s President Director Hery Gunardi, Deputy President Director Viviana Dyah Ayu R.K, the board and SEVP of BRI, and dozens of editors-in-chief of national media. The event took place at BRILiaN Club, Jakarta, on Thursday (26/02).
During the forum, BRI’s President Director Hery Gunardi outlined strategic issues as an introduction to discussion, from the Economic Outlook to the banking industry’s landscape, which contains challenges and opportunities for the financial sector ahead. Additionally, the company’s performance up to Q4 2025 was presented, reflecting the results of the strategies implemented and the company’s ability to respond to industry dynamics in a measurable and sustainable manner. At the same opportunity, BRI also channelled support of Rp250 million to Yayasan Forum Pemred to implement the Program Jurnalisme Berkualitas, as part of the commitment to strengthen the quality and credibility of the public information space.
President Director Hery Gunardi emphasised that this meeting is not only an event to strengthen ties, but also a strategic space to deepen collaboration between BRI and media professionals to exchange perspectives, deepen understanding, and build increasingly open and constructive communication. “Momentum Ramadan kali ini pun menjadi pengingat bahwa kolaborasi yang dilandasi niat baik, saling memahami, dan saling menghormati akan memperkuat keberlanjutan bersama. Melalui kegiatan ini, BRI berharap sinergi yang telah terjalin dapat semakin solid, serta dapat membangun komunikasi yang kian selaras dan konstruktif ke depan, sehingga memberikan nilai tambah bagi institusi, masyarakat, serta perekonomian nasional,” ucap Hery.
Hery menambahkan, sebagai institusi keuangan yang bertumpu pada kepercayaan publik, BRI menjunjung tinggi transparansi dan akuntabilitas dalam setiap aktivitas bisnisnya. Nilai tersebut selaras dengan peran media sebagai penjaga arus informasi yang akurat dan berimbang.
