Weather Forecast Thursday 5 March 2026: Rain Dominant
BMKG issued an early warning of potential extreme weather expected to affect a large part of Indonesia on Thursday, 5 March 2026. The situation is driven by the activity of three tropical cyclone seeds monitored around Indonesian waters: Tropical Cyclone Seed 90S in the southern Indian Ocean off East Java, Tropical Cyclone Seed 93S in waters off western Australia, and Tropical Cyclone Seed 92P in the Gulf of Carpentaria. These systems, together with a cyclonic circulation in the Sulawesi Sea, have formed a convergence region extending from southern Sumatra to the Nusa Tenggara region, leading to widespread enhanced cloud formation and heavy rainfall.
The public observing Ramadan are urged to stay alert, especially for possible heavy to very heavy rainfall in: Sumatra: South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung Islands, and Bengkulu; Java: Banten, Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, Yogyakarta, and East Java; Bali & Nusa Tenggara: Bali, NTB, and NTT.
