Wearing PPE, Prabowo Inspects MBG Kitchen in Palmerah: Checking Everything from Greenhouses to Dining Tables

President Prabowo Subianto personally inspected the implementation of the National Nutrition Fulfilment Programme by visiting the Palmerah Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit (SPPG) in West Jakarta on Tuesday, 2 June 2026. The visit serves as a strong signal that the government is focusing not only on the distribution of nutritious food but also on supervising the entire food supply chain from upstream to downstream.

President Prabowo arrived at the location at approximately 09:30 WIB and was welcomed by the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, and the Head of SPPG Palmerah. During the visit, the Head of State began his inspection at the greenhouse area, which is a vital component of the support system for food supply within the national nutrition programme.

At the site, he received explanations regarding the management of facilities designed to ensure the sustainable availability of food ingredients. The inspection continued to the hydroponic and biofloc facilities, both of which represent an integrated food security concept that combines vegetable production and protein sources independently to support the requirements of the nutritious meal programme.

His inspection proceeded to the programme’s main operational centre, the SPPG Palmerah kitchen. Before entering the production area, Prabowo donned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards. Inside the kitchen, Prabowo directly monitored the entire food production process, ranging from raw material preparation and cooking to the packaging of meals intended for distribution to beneficiaries.

This inspection demonstrates the government’s attention to the quality of programme implementation, which remains one of the national priorities. The government is striving to ensure that every stage operates according to standards so that the programme’s benefits can be maximised for the public. The visit also reaffirms that the success of the nutrition fulfilment programme depends not only on the availability of ready-to-eat meals but also on the strength of the supporting ecosystem, encompassing food production, distribution management, and integrated service governance.
