REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Deputy Minister of Immigration and Corrections, Silmy Karim, has officially become a detainee of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). This was confirmed after he emerged from the KPK’s Red and White Building in South Jakarta, wearing the KPK’s orange detainee vest.

According to reports from the KPK’s Red and White Building on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at approximately 08:36 WIB, Silmy walked towards the detention vehicle. Following him, the former Acting Director General of Immigration, Saffar Muhammad Godam, and the Head of the West Java Immigration Office, Jaya Saputra, also entered the detention vehicle.

Subsequently, the Head of the Class I Special Non-TPI Immigration Office for West Jakarta, Ronald Arman Abdullah, and four other individuals also wore the KPK’s orange vests. They are suspects in a case of alleged corruption within the Directorate General of Immigration and will be transported to the KPK detention centre.
