Wearing a prison-issue uniform, Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq was taken to the KPK Detention Centre

JAKARTA — Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq wore a KPK detention vest after being nabbed in an arrest operation (OTT) in Semarang, Central Java. According to Kompas.com, the singer of ‘Cik Cik Bum Bum’ was seen being escorted by KPK officers from the interrogation room to a detention vehicle for transport to the KPK Detention Centre, Gedung Merah Putih Branch.

Fadia denied being caught in the OTT conducted by the KPK. ‘I was not OTT; I did not have anything taken,’ she said as she was led into the detention vehicle at Gedung Merah Putih in Jakarta on Wednesday (4 March 2026). She said the KPK team initially raided a house, but at that time she was with Central Java Governor Ahmad Lutfhi. ‘And at the time of the arrest, they raided a house; I was with the Central Java Governor,’ she said. ‘So I did not have any OTT, not a rupiah; by Allah there was none,’ she added. She said her meeting with Governor Ahmad Lutfhi only discussed permissions regarding her inability to attend the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG). ‘No, the discussion was about permission because I could not attend the MBG event,’ she said. ‘No, I did not participate; it is not mine; I never participated. It is a company owned by my family, not mine,’ she added. She said she would discuss with her legal team filing a praperadilan suit concerning the alleged corruption case she faces. ‘Yes, I will discuss with my lawyer, because I swear to God there was not a single OTT penny, nor was there any head of a department involved,’ she said. Earlier, KPK had arrested Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq along with her aides and trusted associates in Semarang, Central Java, in the early hours of Tuesday, 3 March 2026.
