Wealth Profile of Muara Enim Regent Edison, Caught in KPK Sting Operation, Reaches Rp 16 Billion!
Muara Enim — The Regent of Muara Enim, Edison, has become the focus of public attention after reports emerged that he was caught in a sting operation (OTT) conducted by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). As the legal process unfolds, public interest has shifted towards the total wealth held by the regional head.
According to official data from the State Officials’ Wealth Report (LHKPN), Edison is recorded as having total wealth amounting to Rp 1_030,192,000, or more than Rp 16 billion. The report, submitted on 27 March 2026, indicates that the official holds no debts, meaning the entire reported value represents net wealth.
Edison began his term as the Regent of Muara Enim in February 2025, with a mandate lasting until 2030. However, less than two years into his leadership of the Muara Enim Regency, his name has drawn intense scrutiny following his detention in the KPK sting operation on Monday, 8 June 2026.
KPK Deputy Chairman Fitroh Rohcahyanto confirmed the arrest of Edison in the Muara Enim region. In accordance with standard procedure, the anti-corruption agency has a maximum of 24 hours to determine and announce the legal status of the individuals detained during the operation.
According to LHKPN documents, Edison’s largest assets are derived from the land and buildings sector. This accounts for Rp 14,180,192,000, or approximately 88 per cent of his total wealth.

Property assets are the largest contributor to Edison’s total wealth. Several plots of land and buildings reported are spread across various areas in South Sumatra, including the cities of Palembang, Banyuasin, and Prabumulih.
High-value assets recorded in the report include land and buildings spanning 16,830 square metres in Palembang, valued at Rp 6.732 billion. Additionally, there is land measuring 2,617 square metres in Palendum valued at Rp 4.637 billion, as well as a house and land measuring 719 square metres estimated at Rp 1.274 billion.
In addition to the properties in Palembang, Edison also reported ownership of several plots of land in Banyuasin and Prabumulih valued at hundreds of millions of rupiah.
