Wealth of Tulungagung Regent Caught in KPK Sting Operation Reaches Rp20.3 Billion: Owns 20 Property Assets and Land Cruiser
Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo has come under national spotlight after being secured by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in a hand-catching operation (OTT) on Saturday, 11 April 2026. The regional head, who recently assumed office for the 2025–2030 period, is currently undergoing intensive examination at the KPK’s Red and White Building.
“The Regent arrived at the KPK Red and White Building around 06:50 WIB, and intensive questioning was immediately conducted,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his remarks on Saturday, 11 April 2026.
Gatut is no stranger in Tulungagung politics. The man born in Tulungagung on 17 December 1967 began his career as a building materials shop entrepreneur before entering government. He previously served as Deputy Regent of Tulungagung and was elected as regent in the 2024 Regional Election.
Amid the case now ensnaring him, public attention has also turned to Gatut’s reported substantial wealth.
Based on the State Organiser’s Wealth Report (LHKPN) submitted on 3 March 2026 at the start of his tenure, Gatut Sunu Wibowo possesses total assets amounting to Rp20.3 billion, precisely Rp20,335,211,000.

The largest portion of Gatut’s wealth comes from land and building assets totalling Rp14.53 billion. He is recorded as owning 20 property assets scattered across several areas, particularly in Tulungagung.

Land measuring 3,045 square metres in Tulungagung valued at Rp1.81 billion
House and land in Surabaya measuring 180/150 square metres valued at Rp1.8 billion
Land and building measuring 2,786/929 square metres in Tulungagung valued at Rp1.64 billion
Land and building measuring 1,940/425 square metres in Tulungagung valued at Rp1.35 billion

For the category of transportation equipment and machinery, Gatut reported assets worth Rp3,470,500,000.
