Wealth of Arnold Aristoteles, Former TNI General Appointed as Director General of Water Resources

The inauguration of high-ranking state officials is typically held on weekdays in an open ceremony with considerable pomp. However, there was a difference when the Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, inaugurated Retired Major General TNI Arnold Aristoteles Paplapna Ritiauw as Director General of Water Resources at the Ministry of Public Works on Friday, 1 May 2026, which coincided with a national holiday. The inauguration ceremony was held in a closed manner without the presence of the media. Arnold is now entrusted with leading a strategic sector directly related to public needs, from the provision of clean water to flood control. Before serving as Director General of Water Resources, Arnold served as an Expert Instructor in the Field of Strategy at the National Defence Institute. Arnold was born on 10 March 1969 and is a 1991 graduate of the Military Academy from the Engineering branch. He hails from Teon Nila Serua, Central Maluku. Quoting the State Organiser’s Wealth Report (LHKPN), Arnold Aristoteles last reported his assets on 27 March 2025 while serving as Governor of the Military Academy. In the LHKPN he submitted, Arnold Aristoteles reported asset ownership worth Rp781,500,000, or less than Rp1 billion. His largest wealth comes from property assets, including land and buildings covering 541 square metres in Cimahi City, West Java, valued at Rp500 million. Then the second property asset in the form of a plot of land covering 2,760 square metres in Central Maluku Regency worth Rp30 million. Arnold Aristoteles also reported ownership of two vehicles, namely a Toyota Innova (2020) worth Rp125 million, and an Innova Zenix (2024) worth Rp575 million. Other assets include cash and cash equivalents worth Rp100 million, other movable assets worth Rp1.5 million, and debt of Rp550 million. Thus, the total wealth minus debt is Rp781.5 million.
