Wealth Comparison: Nanik S Deyang vs Sudaryono, Former and Current Head of BGN: Who is Richer?
Sudaryono has officially assumed the role of Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), replacing Nanik S Deyang, who resigned due to health reasons. The inauguration was conducted by President Prabowo Subianto at the State Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday, 22 July 2026. Sudaryono’s appointment was formalised through the Decree of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Number 78/P Tahun 2026 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of the Head of the National Nutrition Agency. Following his inauguration, Sudaryono emphasised that his new position carries significant responsibility, as the BGN is the institution executing the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, one of the priority programmes of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s administration. Prior to this role, Sudaryono served as Deputy Minister of Agriculture. The leadership change has also drawn attention to the wealth reports of both Sudaryono and Nanik S Deyang, as recorded in the State Officials’ Wealth Report (LHKPN). According to the LHKPN, Nanik S Deyang possesses total assets of Rp6.3 billion, with her last report submitted on 17 January 2025 during her tenure as Deputy Head I of the Poverty Alleviation Acceleration Agency. Her largest asset is land and buildings valued at Rp5.4 billion, along with transportation equipment and machinery worth Rp705 million and cash holdings of Rp195 million. In contrast, Sudaryono’s total recorded wealth in the LHKPN amounts to Rp31 billion. The largest component of his wealth is land and buildings valued at Rp69 billion. He also holds cash of Rp13 billion, securities worth Rp7.6 billion, and transportation equipment and machinery valued at Rp1 billion. However, he also carries liabilities in the form of debt totalling Rp60.3 billion. Based on the LHKPN data, Sudaryono’s total wealth is recorded at Rp31 billion, while Nanik S Deyang’s assets amount to Rp6.3 billion.
