Jakarta (ANTARA) - Minister of Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya stated that the World Conference on Creative Economy (WCCE) 2026 will provide a space for collaboration among creative industry players.

At a press conference on the launch of WCCE 2026 in Jakarta on Wednesday, he explained that creative economy participants from all participating countries can showcase their creative products at the Creative Village, a side event of WCCE 2026.

According to him, the Creative Village can also open opportunities for creative talents to build connections.

“This integration makes the Creative Village an interactive ecosystem, a connector for digital innovation, and a showcase of Indonesia’s IP strength,” he said.

Screenverse will feature technological innovations in the fields of filmmaking, gaming, and digital content at the Creative Village.

Screenverse Project Manager from Dyandra Event Solutions, Indra Girnadi, said that Screenverse not only brings together industry players but also encourages collaboration, commercialisation, and growth in the creative economy.

“It is a platform where creators can present ideas, investors can find scalable IP, brands can collaborate with stories, the government can accelerate the creative economy, and audiences can engage directly with content,” said Indra.

Additionally, Kult Kreo is planned to be held at JIExpo during WCCE 2026, from 21 to 24 October.

The event, which will feature more than 120 brands, is organised to encourage exploration and monetisation of intellectual property in fashion, music, and pop culture.

“The goal of Kult Kreo is to accelerate Indonesian creative IP in building a collaborative ecosystem and strengthening talent capabilities,” said Geraldine Nadia, Kult Kreo Project Manager from Dayakrea Mega Pradana.

“For participants, this means access to partnerships, exposure, and real business opportunities, including the chance to be seen internationally at WCCE,” she added.

The Minister of Creative Economy appreciated the presence of Screenverse and Kult Kreo as part of the WCCE 2026 series of events.

According to him, both platforms support strengthening cross-sector collaboration in the creative economy field and open up space for creative economy talents to build global connections.
