WB vice president to visit RI
JAKARTA (AFP): World Bank vice president for East Asia and the Pacific Jemal-ud-din Kassum will visit Indonesia next week for consultations with the government's senior officials.
The World Bank said in a statement on Friday that Kassum was also scheduled to hold talks with local donor representatives during his visit on Tuesday and Wednesday.
He will discuss preparations for the forthcoming meeting of the Consultative Group on Indonesia (CGI) in Tokyo in October.
The World Bank, which chairs the donor group, is a major contributor to the US$46 billion rescue package arranged by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to help Indonesia cope with its worst ever crisis.
Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Finance and Industry Kwik Kian Gie said here on Friday that an IMF team would also visit Indonesia from June 12 to June 22 to review the country's reform programs.
