WB chief visits Gandaria Utara
JAKARTA (JP): Mrs. Alaine Wolfensohn, wife of the visiting
World Bank president, visited Gandaria Utara subdistrict in
Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, on Wednesday to get a close look
at the way of life in the area.
"Mrs. Wolfensohn is curious to know the people's social
activities, such as children's education, and health services in
the RW 011 and RW 012 communities," South Jakarta Mayor Pardjoko
said.
According to Pardjoko, the wife of the World Bank president
wanted to know more about the achievements made by the Indonesian
government and the city administration through the Mohamad Husni
Thamrin kampong improvement programs which have been funded by
the World Bank.
The World Bank president arrived here last Friday for a five-
day visit. (sur)
