Water supply to be disrupted
JAKARTA: A partner of city water operator, PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja), will repair its water treatment plant in Pejompongan, which will disrupt water supply for four days from Friday.
The maintenance work will cut supply in several areas, such as, Muara Karang, Pluit and Bandengan in North Jakarta; Jl. S. Parman, Jl. Latumenten, Jembatan Dua, Jembatan Tiga and Mangga Dua in West Jakarta.
Other areas to be affected are Tanah Pasir, Jl. Penjernihan, Jl. Diponegoro, Jl. Cikini, Jl. Menteng, Jl. Wahid Hasyim, Jl. Kebon Sirih, Jl. Merdeka Timur, Jl. Veteran, Jl. Juanda, Gelora, Jl. Sudirman and Jl. Kartini in Central Jakarta; as well as Jl. Gatot Subroto, Tebet and Jl. Casablanca in South Jakarta, Palyja said in a statement.
The company suggested that customers fill up water tanks in anticipation of the disruption from 5 p.m. on Nov. 19 to 9 a.m. on Nov. 22. -- JP
