Water shortage to hit parts of the city

JAKARTA: Customers of the city water company will likely
suffer water shortages in several parts of the city due to the
temporary close of its water distribution pipeline.

PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (PALYJA) announced on Monday that it
will temporary close its tap water distribution pipeline from
Pejompongan 1 Water Treatment Plant to Tanah Abang in connection
with its plan to optimize the clean water network of PALYJA in
Gedong Panjang, located at Wisma Sanita Pejompongan, Central
Jakarta.

The work will start from 9 p.m. on Wednesday to 5 a.m. on
Thursday.

Customers in Kebon Sirih, Abdul Muis, Cideng, Moch. Mansyur,
Juanda, and surrounding areas will experience a disruption in
water supply while the work takes place.

PALYJA reminds all customers to be prepared and to keep their
home water storage tanks full beforehand and to use water
efficiently.

PALYJA has a Technical Call Center, which can be contacted at
(021) 579 86 555, for customers to obtain information on water
quality and/or provision. This is available 24-hours-a-day, 7-
days-a-week.
