Water Purifier Facilities to Be Available in Blok M

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Perumda Air Minum Jaya is targeting water purifier facilities in crowded areas, one of which is Blok M in South Jakarta. “Currently, we are indeed promoting them in places with crowds, one of which is Blok M, which we have already captured,” said PAM Jaya’s Operations Director Syahrul Hasan in Jakarta on Wednesday. He stated that the ready-to-drink water comes from PAM Jaya’s piped network, not refilled using gallons. Therefore, Syahrul assured that the ready-to-drink water can be available for 24 hours. The water purifier facilities, he said, are currently available in the Jakarta City Hall building, DPRD Jakarta, and Transjakarta stops. “We are now actually promoting them to many places, but sometimes we face challenges related to aesthetics in one place, because piping has to be done. These technical matters become joint homework,” Syahrul explained. Currently, PAM Jaya’s piped water service coverage in DKI Jakarta is 81.79 percent from a target of 100 percent in 2029, with a pipe length of 12,838 kilometres. “In 2029, our target is 19,234 kilometres (pipe length). In 2029, it will be two million customers and the largest capacity of 23,138 litres per second,” Syahrul stated. Through various efforts undertaken, PAM Jaya is optimistic about fulfilling the targets given by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
