Water Pump Project Leads to Closure of One Lane on Jalan Daan Mogot in West Jakarta Until August
The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub DKI) is implementing traffic engineering at several points along Jalan Daan Mogot in West Jakarta due to the construction of the Water Pump System. During the project, one lane at various points on Jalan Daan Mogot will be used for the construction area until August 2027.
The traffic adjustments are to support the construction of pump houses at four locations along the southern side of Jalan Daan Mogot, namely Rumah Pompa Depag, Rumah Pompa KM 13, Rumah Pompa KM 13A, and Rumah Pompa KM 13B.
“During the work, the garden area will be used and one lane of the road body will be occupied along the work area,” said Acting Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency Ujang Harmawan in a statement on Wednesday (13/5/2026).
The first location is around Rumah Pompa Depag, specifically on the southern side of Jalan Daan Mogot, next to the offramp of the Pesing flyover towards Kalideres. Meanwhile, Rumah Pompa KM 13 is on the southern side of Jalan Daan Mogot, opposite Mitsubishi Motors.
Rumah Pompa KM 13B is on the southern side of Jalan Daan Mogot after the TransJakarta Pulo Nangka halt. Rumah Pompa KM 13A is located after the TransJakarta Jembatan Baru halt.
Dishub states that during the work, pedestrian access will be channelled to the left side of the road body. At several points, traffic flow will be implemented as two lanes of mixed traffic.
Construction work at the four locations began on 7 January 2026 and is targeted to be completed on 6 August 2027. Thus, the traffic arrangements will last throughout the project period.
“Not only that, to maintain lane consistency during the work, the TransJakarta separator on the southern side of Jalan Daan Mogot along approximately 1.6 kilometres will be temporarily dismantled,” he explained.
The dismantling will be carried out from around Rumah Pompa KM 13 to Rumah Pompa KM 13B. As a result, TransJakarta buses in that corridor will travel with other vehicles or in mixed traffic until the project is completed.
“It is assured that the separator will be reinstalled after the work is finished,” he said.
Dishub DKI advises the public to avoid the Jalan Daan Mogot route during the project and to adjust to the established traffic arrangements. Road users are also asked to obey traffic signs and instructions from officers on the ground for mutual safety.
