Water Pump Construction in Daan Mogot, Dishub Implements Traffic Engineering
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) will implement traffic engineering on Jalan Daan Mogot in West Jakarta, in line with the phased construction of water pump systems at several locations until August 2027.
“Road users are urged to avoid that road section and adjust to the established traffic arrangements, comply with traffic signs, follow instructions from on-site officers, and prioritise road safety,” said Acting Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency Ujang Harmawan in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The work sites are located at several points on Jalan Daan Mogot, namely the Depag Pump House, KM 13 Pump House, KM 13A Pump House, and KM 13B Pump House.
To support the work, Dishub DKI will apply traffic engineering gradually at each project location.
For the Depag Pump House work, the construction site is on the southern side of Jalan Daan Mogot next to the offramp of the Pesing flyover towards Kalideres.
During the work, one lane of the road will be used for the project area, so pedestrian access will be directed via the left side of the road. The work will take place from 7 January 2026 to 6 August 2027.
A similar arrangement will be applied to the KM 13 Pump House construction, located on the southern side of Jalan Daan Mogot, directly opposite Mitsubishi Motors.
During the work, one lane will be used, resulting in traffic flow becoming two mixed lanes. The construction is scheduled for the same period, from 7 January 2026 to 6 August 2027.
Meanwhile, the KM 13B Pump House construction will be carried out on the southern side of Jalan Daan Mogot after the Pulo Nangka Transjakarta Stop. The KM 13A Pump House is located after the Jembatan Baru Transjakarta Stop.
At both locations, one lane will also be used for the work area with mixed traffic arrangements.
Ujang stated that to optimise lane consistency during the work, the Transjakarta separator on the southern side of Jalan Daan Mogot, spanning approximately 1.6 kilometres from the KM 13 Pump House to KM 13B, will be temporarily dismantled.
As a result, Transjakarta buses will travel alongside general vehicles or in mixed traffic until the work is completed and the separator is reinstalled.
