Water Management Efficiency a Key Part of Corporate ESG Implementation
Water management efficiency is considered an important aspect of implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in the business world. Such efforts not only support environmental conservation but also strengthen sustainable business practices amid growing attention to resource management. This commitment was demonstrated by PT Pertamina Trans Kontinental (PTK), which received a Top 10 Jakarta Water Heroes 2026 award in the Water-Smart Office Pioneer category. The award from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government and PAM Jaya was presented by DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung to PTK’s Acting President Director Eko Cahyadi in Jakarta. Eko stated that the award represents recognition of the company’s implementation of sustainability principles in support of environmental conservation. “For PTK, this award is a form of recognition, as well as proof that the company’s commitment to sustainability delivers real value for the environment and society,” Eko said. He explained that the award, themed ‘From Impact to Influence’, serves as an encouragement for the company to not only pursue business performance but also to present sustainable practices that can inspire other organisations. Eko added that the award also motivates all PTK employees to continue enhancing their contribution to supporting sustainability targets, both within the Pertamina Group and nationally. “Therefore, PTK will continue to strengthen ESG implementation in every aspect of the business, expand collaboration with stakeholders, and develop various innovations that support resource efficiency and environmental conservation,” he stated. As a company engaged in integrated maritime logistics services, PTK affirmed that it continues to integrate ESG principles into its corporate business strategy. This is carried out through various resource efficiency programmes, strengthening a more environmentally friendly operational culture, and collaborating with stakeholders to support sustainable development targets.
