Water disruption expected in Central Jakarta

JAKARTA: Water utility PT Palyja announced on Sunday that some
parts of Central Jakarta would experience disruption in water
supplies due to engineering work.

Palyja public relations manager Maria Sidabutar said that work
was due to start on a 600-millimeter pipe on Jl. Cikini Raya,
Central Jakarta, on Tuesday.

The supply of water to residents living around Jl. Cikini
Raya, Jl. RP. Soeroso, Jl. Sutan Syahrir, Jl. Moch Yamin and Jl.
Gondangdia would be disrupted for 12 hours starting at 7 p.m. on
Tuesday, Maria said in a statement.

She called on customers living in the affected locations to
make preparations by filling containers with water and using
water efficiently. --JP.
