Waste pollutes water source

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Residents of Landasan Ulin
district have complained of industrial waste disposed by a rattan
factory.

The residents said that PT Multi Agung Rattan Industry dumps
its industrial waste into a river which they use for various
household purposes.

They said that the contaminated water had caused skin and eye
diseases over the past three years, the Antara news agency
