The Acting Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta, Isnawa Adji, in a statement on Sunday, outlined the incident chronology: around 14:30 Western Indonesia Time, when waste trucks were queuing to unload their loads, suddenly a landslide struck, hitting five waste trucks and one stall near the location. He added that the initial suspected casualties buried were ten people — five residents and five truck drivers. ‘Four people have been evacuated in a dead condition and two are safe,’ Isnawa said. The National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) DKI Jakarta released updated casualty data, showing four fatalities in the landslide at the Bantargebang TPST in Desa Ciketing Udik, Bantargebang Sub-district, Bekasi City, West Java. ‘The victims include Irwan Suprihatin, found inside a truck in a dead condition,’ said Jakarta SAR Office spokesperson Ramli Prasetyo in Jakarta on Sunday.
