Waste jeans transformed into export products in Bantargebang

In an area synonymous with the Bantargebang Integrated Waste Treatment Plant (TPST), textile waste is gaining new value. Through the creative hands of artisans at the Waste For Reuse production house, used jeans are being processed into various fashion products that are not only in demand in the domestic market but are also exported to several countries. The production house is capable of producing around 400 items each month, with prices ranging from Rp80,000 to Rp450,000 per product. Products processed from textile waste in Bantargebang are marketed online and have reached consumers in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Japan.
