Waskita Karya's Losses Shrink to Rp 678 Billion
PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) recorded a loss attributable to the company’s owners of Rp 678 billion throughout the first quarter of 2026. This figure represents a 31.43% decrease year-on-year (yoy) from the previous year’s loss of Rp 1.25 trillion. According to the financial report, operating revenue rose 55% yoy to Rp 2.1 trillion. In detail, the largest revenue came from construction services at Rp 1.6 trillion, followed by toll road revenue of Rp 322.77 billion. However, the company faced a surge in cost of revenue, which increased 75% yoy to Rp 1.92 trillion. As a result, gross profit fell 31.42% yoy to Rp 175.06 billion. The state-owned enterprise also recorded reductions in certain expenses, such as selling expenses dropping to Rp 28.77 billion, general and administrative expenses to Rp 368.64 billion, and non-contributing plan expenses plummeting to Rp 2.36 billion. Meanwhile, interest income halved to Rp 87.62 billion. Financial expenses dipped slightly to Rp 895.27 billion. Consequently, the loss before tax decreased to Rp 775.32 billion. On the balance sheet, Waskita’s total liabilities fell to Rp 65.95 trillion in the first quarter of 2026 from Rp 67.06 trillion at the end of the previous year. Equity also eroded to Rp 2.94 trillion, down from Rp 3.67 trillion previously. Waskita’s total assets shrank to Rp 69 trillion over the first four months of the year, from Rp 70.73 trillion at the end of the previous year.
