Waskita Karya Secures New Contracts Worth Rp3.1 Trillion in Q1-2026
Jakarta (ANTARA) - State-owned construction company PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) has recorded a total value of new contracts (NKB) amounting to Rp3.1 trillion in the first quarter of 2026.
The new contracts of the company consist of central government projects at 60.2 per cent, private sector at 17.1 per cent, regional government at 8.9 per cent, and contributions from subsidiaries at 13.7 per cent.
Waskita Karya’s Corporate Secretary Ermy Puspa Yunita stated in an official release in Jakarta on Thursday that the achievement of new contracts demonstrates a strong start to maintain sustainable performance throughout 2026, as well as providing a solid foundation to face various future challenges.
“We remain selective in choosing projects to be undertaken. Waskita Karya avoids investment projects and focuses on monthly payment scheme projects with upfront payments,” said Ermy.
Based on the segmentation of work types, Ermy revealed that connectivity infrastructure dominates with 46 per cent, followed by water infrastructure projects at 33.9 per cent, and buildings at 6.3 per cent.
One of the central government projects to be implemented this year includes the Post-Disaster Area Arrangement in Aceh Tamiang Regency, North Aceh, and East Aceh.
“Then, the Urgent Handling of Emergency Natural Disaster Response on the Bireun City-Takengon City Road Section, as well as the Central Aceh Regency Road and Bridge,” said Ermy.
Ermy continued that the company has once again recorded the acquisition of new contract value from abroad, namely working on the Presidente Nicolau Lobato International Airport Terminal (PNLIA) in Timor Leste.
“Last year, the company had already begun constructing the PNLIA development project,” said Ermy.
Over the past 10 years, she revealed that the company has built 30 dams, 41 irrigation systems, 20 hospital facilities (RS), 15 educational facilities, 92 toll roads, and 19 regional connectivity projects.
“We are committed to continuing to support the President’s priority programmes, including eradicating extreme poverty, equitable welfare distribution, improving education quality, and driving the success of the Quick Best Results Programme,” said Ermy.
She further stated that the company also ensures every infrastructure is carried out with the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) or good corporate governance, to ensure smooth implementation.
“Waskita Karya also continues to strengthen risk management while supporting sustainable development. One of them is by boosting the absorption of local labour in every project location,” said Ermy.
Looking ahead, she added, the company is optimistic about securing more new contract values and improving performance this year.
“This optimism is supported by the increase in the Ministry of Public Works budget to Rp118.5 trillion from the initial indicative allocation for 2026 of Rp70.86 trillion,” said Ermy.
