PT Daikin Airconditioning Indonesia is extending the warranty period for two lines of air conditioning (AC) products as an effort to strengthen user comfort and trust in Indonesia. This policy applies to the Nusantara Prestige and SkyAir AC series.

Assistant General Manager of National Sales at Daikin, Alexander Eko Wibowo, stated that the warranty extension is part of the company’s commitment to providing longer protection for consumers.

“This warranty extension complements the comfort from the trusted quality of DAIKIN ACs with longer protection,” said Alexander in his official statement on Friday (3/4).

He explained that the new policy officially takes effect from 1 April 2026. Interestingly, this policy not only applies to new purchases but is also granted to users who have purchased Nusantara Prestige and SkyAir products since 1 January 2026.

According to Alexander, this decision aligns with the increasing needs of society for ACs in line with changes in modern lifestyles. The presence of ACs is now not only as a room cooler but also as a supporter of productivity through temperature stability features and air filtration.

Nevertheless, he acknowledged that users also face operational costs, from electricity consumption to maintenance. Therefore, AC ownership is considered a long-term investment.

“With this warranty period policy update, we want to ensure a better user experience with a worry-free feeling for a longer period,” he explained.

In the latest scheme, the warranty extension covers compressors, spare parts, and service costs. For the Nusantara Prestige AC, warranty on compressors and spare parts is provided for up to five years, and three years for service costs. Meanwhile, for the SkyAir line, warranty on compressors and spare parts also reaches five years, with one year for service costs.

The Nusantara Prestige series itself is Daikin’s latest residential AC line consisting of three models: ALPHA Inverter, BETA Inverter, and Super Mini Split (SMS). This product is Daikin’s first AC produced in Indonesia with technology and supervision from Japan.

In addition to the warranty update, the company is also enhancing after-sales services. Access to services is now expanded through contact centres, the official website, and WhatsApp channels. Service centre operating hours have been extended to 12 hours on weekdays, and remain open on weekends and national holidays. Currently, Daikin is supported by more than 500 official service points spread across various regions in Indonesia.

Alexander emphasised that the combination of warranty extension and strengthened after-sales services is part of the company’s strategy to reinforce its position as a trusted air conditioning solution provider domestically.

“All these steps are a manifestation of strengthening DAIKIN’s focus on becoming the primary provider of trusted air conditioning solutions in Indonesia,” he concluded.
