According to Iwan, there are several reasons why delaying the replacement of transmission oil can affect the performance of an automatic vehicle.

First, the quality of the oil decreases, so the viscosity decreases and the lubrication between the transmission components is no longer optimal. As a result, friction between components increases and makes the transmission work harder.

In general, it is recommended to replace automatic transmission oil every 40,000 to 60,000 kilometers or about 2 to 3 years of use.
