The hospitality of the residents and the maximum service provided by the organising committee, alongside the Central Java Provincial Government, have left a profound impression on participants of the 31st National Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur’an (MTQN) 2026 arriving from various regions.

The Chairman of the Tilawatil Qur’an Development Institute (LPTQ) for North Kalimantan, Sanusi, admitted being impressed by the welcome and friendliness of the Central Java residents as hosts. “Alhamdulillah, the people of Central Java are all very friendly. We can see the enthusiasm of the community in welcoming this event,” said Sanusi during the Ta’aruf Parade on Saturday (12/9).

He stated that his delegation arrived in Central Java with the spirit of fostering ties and strengthening brotherhood with the people of Indonesia, particularly in Central Java.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Provincial Delegation, Hamdan Saleh Batjo, noted that his group consists of 80 people, all participating in the 2026 National MTQ with a spirit of brotherhood. “Even though NTT has experienced disasters, the spirit of Islamic brotherhood to popularise the Al-Qur’an throughout the archipelago remains a driving force for our delegation this time,” said Hamdan.

Hamdan also expressed appreciation for the reception from Central Java as the host of the 31st MTQN, which he deemed excellent. He noted receiving warm service from the moment they arrived in Semarang through to the Ta’aruf Parade agenda, including interactions with the Governor of Central Java, Ahmad Luthfi, and Vice Governor Taj Yasin Maimoen.

“We offer our appreciation for the extraordinary service; last night we were also received by the Governor and Vice Governor of Central Java. I am pleased with the reception from the entire committee and the people of Central Java,” he said.

One visitor, Daeng Syawal, mentioned that he intentionally travelled to Semarang with his wife and children to witness the festivities of the 2026 National MTQ and to reconnect with teachers in attendance. He also noted being impressed by the cleanliness and friendliness of Semarang and Central Java.

“Alhamdulillah, we are here to participate in the National MTQ in Semarang, Central Java. It is extraordinary and very festive; I am very happy, and I even brought my children to witness what the National MTQ is like,” said Daeng.

Governor Ahmad Luthfi expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Central LPTQ for the trust placed in Central Java to host the 2026 National MTQ. “On behalf of the people of Central Java, we say welcome. This National MTQ holds the meaning of uniting those of us from various geographical regions of Indonesia, and today we gather together in Central Java,” concluded the Governor.
