Jakarta (ANTARA) - The warmth displayed between President Prabowo Subianto and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Prambanan Temple complex in the Special Region of Yogyakarta on Wednesday left a deep impression on a number of Indian citizens and diaspora members. Among the crowd, several members of the Indian community who have long resided in Yogyakarta could not hide their emotion. One of them, Dev Anand, an Indian national who has lived in Yogyakarta for 37 years, said the chance to meet President Prabowo and PM Modi was an experience he had never imagined before. “It feels like a dream. Not only PM Modi, but President Prabowo also gave such a response and welcomed us so warmly. I don’t think there has ever been a president like that before,” he said. Dev believes the relationship between President Prabowo and PM Modi reflects the closeness of two leaders who prioritise the interests of the people. With a simple expression, he described the two as having the same spirit of service. “It’s like one mother, two children. One mother, two children. Working for the people. So I think they are a perfect match,” he said. Dev hopes that the good relations between Indonesia and India will continue to grow under the leadership of the two figures. He also expressed appreciation to President Prabowo for the various efforts made for the community. “We are very grateful to President Prabowo as well. May Indonesia continue to progress and always advance. Long live a prosperous Indonesia,” Dev said. The visit of President Prabowo and PM Modi to Prambanan Temple was a source of pride.
