Warming Ramadhan, UBSI Salemba Campus Spreads Goodwill Through Rice Box Distribution
Universitas Bina Sarana Informatika (UBSI) organised a social activity distributing rice boxes to the community to celebrate Ramadhan 1447 H. The activity took place at UBSI Salemba campus at Jl. Salemba Tengah No. 45, Senen, Central Jakarta.
The programme, titled UBSI Ramadhan Rice Box Sharing, ran from 23 February to 13 March 2026, Monday through Friday, as a demonstration of care and tangible action in sharing with others.
The activity targeted residents around the campus and road users passing by ahead of iftar time. UBSI’s academic community hoped to provide benefit to the public whilst fostering a spirit of sharing during this blessed month.
Astriyanti, Operational Staff at UBSI Salemba 45 campus, explained that the rice box distribution is a regular social agenda held during Ramadhan. The activity is not merely about sharing food, but also serves as a means to strengthen ties between the campus and the community.
“Through UBSI Ramadhan Rice Box Sharing, we want to present genuine care to the community,” said Astriyanti in a statement released Tuesday (10 March 2026).
She hoped that what UBSI provided could help those observing the Ramadhan fast, particularly those travelling ahead of iftar time.
Andin, a housewife, expressed gratitude and appreciation for the UBSI rice box distribution. She found the distribution orderly and highly beneficial for the community.
“I think this event is very good. The rice box distribution is well-organised and very helpful for us recipients. May those who share and those who receive always be blessed with good health and steady sustenance,” said Andin.
As a Digital Creative Campus, UBSI not only focuses on technology-based educational development but also actively implements social activities with direct impact on the community, including through sharing programmes during Ramadhan.
