Interior Minister (Mendagri) Muhammad Tito Karnavian enjoyed lunch with cadets from the Institute of Domestic Governance (IPDN) in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh.

The cadets are currently serving to accelerate post-disaster recovery in the area.

The lunch activity took place simply yet full of warmth. Tito, who is also the Head of the Task Force for Accelerating Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Post-Disaster (Kasatgas PRR) for Sumatra, sat with the cadets without barriers, chatting casually while enjoying the meal.

The cadets are part of the third wave of IPDN cadet assignments, consisting of 731 first-level cadet trainees.

In the first wave assignment, the main focus was cleaning office areas. Meanwhile, the second wave expanded the scope to community environments.

The third wave is focused on handling locations still heavily impacted, particularly due to mud deposits.

In his directions, Tito appreciated the performance of the IPDN cadets, who were deemed successful in cleaning flood residue mud, both in the Aceh Tamiang Regency office complex and in surrounding residential areas.

“So it’s already good because the younger siblings also worked well, yes,” said Tito, in a written statement, Wednesday (22/4/2026).

Tito expressed thanks because the cadets, from the first to third wave assignments, did not commit any violations, thus maintaining the good name of IPDN in Aceh Tamiang Regency.

“That is why, Mr. Deputy Governor (Fadhlullah) gave thanks in the form of a communal meal and also a special sacrifice of one cow for the IPDN cadets,” said Tito.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMK) Pratikno provided motivation to the IPDN cadets to remain enthusiastic in undergoing their education and service processes.

Pratikno also expressed thanks for the cadets’ contributions in assisting post-disaster handling in Aceh Tamiang.

“(Later when) returning to campus, study harder. Continue working for the community, working for the progress of our country,” said Pratikno.

As information, this communal meal activity was also attended by Menko PMK Pratikno, Aceh Deputy Governor Fadhlullah, and Aceh Tamiang Regent Armia Pahmi.
