Warehouse in Tegal Alur, West Jakarta, Catches Fire

A warehouse building in Tegal Alur, Kalideres, West Jakarta, caught fire. Dozens of firefighters were deployed to the scene to extinguish the blaze. “The object on fire is a warehouse,” said an officer from the DKI Jakarta Fire and Rescue Service (Gulkarmat) Command Centre on Tuesday (4/8/2026). The fire was reported by residents at 6.04 pm Western Indonesia Time, who went directly to the fire station. The burning building is located on Jalan Kamal Raya, RT 004 RW 002, Tegal Alur Urban Village, Kalideres District, West Jakarta. A total of 16 fire engines and 80 personnel were dispatched to the scene. Firefighting operations commenced at 6.10 pm. Firefighters have managed to control the flames, eliminating the risk of the fire spreading to other structures. The chronology and cause of the fire are not yet known. “The fire status is currently in the cooling down phase,” the officer stated. Personnel are still spraying water to ensure the fire is completely extinguished and to prevent any reignition. There is no information yet on whether there are any casualties resulting from the fire. In a video received by detikcom, the flames that had been burning inside the warehouse have been extinguished. Officers have entered the warehouse building.
