Wardiman to open speaking contest

JAKARTA (JP): Minister of Education and Culture Wardiman
Djojonegoro is scheduled to open a national student public
speaking competition on Oct. 9.

Abdul Kadir Dahlan, vice secretary of the Association of
Indonesian Rhetoric Lovers, said that the six-day speaking
contest will be held at the offices of the ministry of education
and culture on Jl. Sudirman, South Jakarta.

He said that students interested in participating in the
contest are invited to register before Oct. 2.

A seminar entitled "Through the National Discipline Movement
We Improve our Unity Spirit to Help Succeed Development Program,"
will be held concurrently with the competition.

Speakers at the seminar will include a number of ministers,
