Singapore Airlines (SIA) is extending the cancellation of flights on the Singapore-Dubai route and vice versa until 30 April 2026.

Previously, Singapore’s national carrier had cancelled flights to the Middle East region until 28 March 2026.

This decision comes in the wake of the unstable geopolitical situation in the Middle East following the US and Israel-Iran conflict at the end of February 2026.

“Because the situation is still changing, other SIA flights may be affected,” states the official notice from Singapore Airlines on its website, as quoted by Kompas.com on Monday (23/3/2026).

Passengers who have already purchased tickets for the route can choose alternative flight options or a full refund.

Passengers who bought tickets directly through the official Singapore Airlines website can fill out the Assistance Request Form to request a refund.

For passengers who purchased tickets through travel agents or partner airlines, it is recommended to contact the relevant parties for further assistance.

“SIA apologises to all customers affected for the inconvenience caused,” the official notice concludes.

It is worth noting that tens of thousands of flights to and from the Middle East have been cancelled since the US and Israel-Iran conflict intensified.

The conflict has also forced airlines to avoid airspace around Iran, as well as other conflict-prone zones.
