Wamendagri: Cheap Food Movement to Curb Inflation in NTB
Jakarta — Deputy Minister of Home Affairs (Wamendagri) Bima Arya Sugiarto said that the Cheap Food Movement plays an important role in the effort to curb inflation at regional and national levels. ‘I appreciate it; there is a movement being held this morning, namely the Cheap Food Movement. We will ensure inflation is under control in NTB, especially in West Lombok,’ he said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday. Bima said this at the Morning Assembly and Beach Clean-up at Senggigi Beach, West Lombok Regency, NTB, on Tuesday. The Cheap Food Movement in NTB was inaugurated by Wamendagri Akhmad Wiyagus at an event held in the grounds of Senggigi Beach, West Lombok Regency, NTB, on Tuesday. In the event, Wiyagus, accompanied by West Lombok Regent Lalu Ahmad Zaini, inspected the cheap food stalls that were crowded with residents. Wiyagus personally greeted residents of Lombok who were about to buy various staple goods, such as rice, eggs, onions, vegetables, and even meat. He also engaged informally with residents about the basic goods they were buying. ‘West Lombok, tangible action!’ declared Wiyagus together with the West Lombok Regent and the NTB regional IPDN cadets. After opening and inspecting the Cheap Food Movement, Wiyagus also took the time to engage with and accompany the IPDN cadets in the activity of cleaning the Senggigi Beach area.
