Wall of SMPN 182 South Jakarta Collapses, Police Investigate Suspected Negligence

Jakarta — A wall at SMPN 182 Kalibata, Pancoran, South Jakarta, has collapsed. No casualties were reported in the incident.

Police are currently conducting an investigation into suspected negligence. “The investigation is still ongoing,” said Pancoran Police Chief Kompol Mansur.

Mansur said his team is still investigating to determine the cause and chronology of the school wall collapse. “It is known that the fence had already been leaning,” he said.

It was reported that a notification letter regarding the leaning wall had been issued by the surrounding community, but no further action was taken before it eventually collapsed.
