Wall climbing competition

JAKARTA (JP): The City Tourism Office will hold a wall
climbing competition at the site of the Flora and Fauna
Competition in Lapangan Banteng, Central Jakarta, from Aug. 11 to
13.

Hariyanto Badjoeri, an official of the office, said on Tuesday
that the competition, held in cooperation with a number of
related institutions, including the City Park Office and Pemuda
Pancasila Youth organization, is designed to raise the number of
tourist attractions in the city.

The increasing number of attractions is expected to help
improve the image of Jakarta as one of Indonesia's major tourist
destinations, he said.

Hariyanto said that 225 teenagers, including 50 females, have
been registered as participants of the competition with total
prizes amounting to Rp 6 million (US$2,727). (hhr)
