Wakapolri swears in Bimo Suryono as KBPP Polri Chairman for 2026-2031
JAKARTA — The Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Wakapolri), Komjen Dedi Prasetyo, swore in and installed A.H. Bimo Suryono as Chairman of the Keluarga Besar Putra Putri (KBPP) Polri for the 2026–2031 period in South Jakarta on Thursday, 21 May 2026.
In the inauguration, Dedi conveyed a message from Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stating that KBPP Polri is an organisation with a close relationship to the parent Polri.
Dedi said Polri would enhance communications with the organisation even more intensively.
‘The message from the Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo is that KBPP Polri is an organisation with a very strong blood relationship with the parent Polri. Going forward, we will open up space for more intensive communication at both the central and regional levels,’ Dedi said, as quoted on Saturday (23 May 2026).
‘We will assist the digitisation system for recording the sons and daughters of Polri personnel across the regions. Not only Binmas, but also Human Resources (SDM) will be involved. A modern organisation must be led by capable people with appropriate competencies and good integrity,’ he said.
On this occasion, Bimo had previously requested that Polri assist KBPP Polri to record the children of retired members.
‘If it’s straightforward to record the children of active Polri members, it’s not too difficult. But recording the children of retired members, we ask for cooperation to be documented through Bhabinkamtibmas distributed across Indonesia,’ he said.
As Chairman of KBPP Polri for 2026-2031, Bimo also expressed appreciation to the Police Chief and the Wakapolri for the guidance and direction given to KBPP Polri.
‘KBPP Polri follows what the Police as the supervising authority commands and as a parent figure. We support a legitimate government,’ Bimo asserted.
According to him, Polri is the guardian of KBPP Polri.
‘This organisation was founded by Polri, and has been proposed several times by Polri leaders that we are not merely partners but part of Polri itself,’ he said.
