Wakaf Salman held the soft launch of its Collaboration Hub Jakarta at Masjid Al Ittihad on Saturday, 16 May. The hub’s establishment aims to strengthen the synergy of dawah, education, social welfare and empowerment of the community across the Jabodetabek region in collaboration with Wakaf Salman, Avisman Jabodetabek, Ikatan Alumni ITB, and the Dewan Kemakmuran Masjid Al Ittihad. Attendees included Wakaf Salman Director Hari Utomo, Chairman of Avisman Jabodetabek Mas Bagoes, Chairman of IA ITB Angin, and a representative of DKM Masjid Al Ittihad, Budi. The programme began with a lecture by Ustadz Budi Prayitno on the importance of collaboration and tangible contributions by the community in creating sustainable benevolence. The event continued with a cordial reception, intercommunity discussions, and thanksgiving marking the start of the Collaboration Hub Jakarta. Hari Utomo said the Jakarta Collaboration Hub is not merely the opening of a new space, but an effort to bring together diverse potentials for good in Jabodetabek. “We hope Wakaf Salman Collaboration Hub Jakarta can become a home for collaboration among various communities, activists, professionals, and the general public to jointly realise tangible benefits for the umat. The spirit of wakaf is not only about giving, but about building a sustainable and broad‑impacting synergy,” he said. He added that cross‑community synergy is a crucial force in expanding productive wakaf and accelerating solutions to social needs. IA ITB Chairman Angin hopes the Jakarta hub will bring the Salman Mosque closer to worshippers outside Bandung, including in Jakarta. “Hopefully the Wakaf Salman Collaboration Hub Jakarta will make it easier for people to channel sedekah jariyah or wakaf through the trusted institution Wakaf Salman,” he stated. The soft launch paves the way for the grand launch of Wakaf Salman Collaboration Hub Jakarta, planned for June 2026, with a larger scale of activities and collaborations. Through the Collaboration Hub Jakarta, Wakaf Salman hopes more parties can connect and collaborate to build an ecosystem of goodness that will benefit the umat and wider society.
