Waiting for TVRI's clarification

Waiting for TVRI's clarification

I refer to my letter in The Jakarta Post(March 23, 1995)
entitled TV programs. I thought that I could expect some
attention and courtesy from TVRI. A few days after I wrote, I
still haven't got an answer to my simple question: Who was the
composer of the double bass concerto?

In addition, I have one more question and a few remarks to
make. Can TVRI say when the president of Serbia, Slovodan
Milosevic, was replaced. I thought the presidential elections
took place not so long ago. And quite recently I heard from Dunia
Dalam Berita that the Serbian president was Radovan Karadzic, who
so far was the chief of the Bosnian Serbs and the chief trouble
maker cum war criminal in the region. Please clarify.

It would also be appreciated if the numerous news readers
could be taught the correct pronunciation of foreign words: Zaire
was again pronounced Zahireh. Zahi is right but the last e is
mute as in lebih, not like lebar. As for the French Foreign
Minister, TVRI is the only station which makes the final e mute
whereas it should be e as in lebar. The embattled NATO Secretary
General's name is pronounced Claas (like Sinter Klaas), with a
long a, not a long e, lebar.

Lastly, a few days ago, I noticed that the temperature in
London was expected to exceed 40 degrees Celsius the next day. Is
global warming hitting that fast? No wonder the Minister of
Transportation complained about the low level of accuracy of the
weather forecasts!
