Waiting for Sempati's refund
Before I explain my problem, I would like to state that I have been patronizing Sempati Air since it started its Balikpapan- Jakarta service. After some years flying with Sempati, I became a Preferred Connection Club (PCC) member.
I am not complaining about the late departure and the "food" served by Sempati Air. We all have our shortcomings. I am more disappointed with the way Sempati treats PCC members.
My membership expired in April, so I renewed it on March 18, producing the required photocopies of eight tickets and paying the new fee of Rp 750,000. Shortly after, Sempati waved this fee and promised to return the money.
As requested, I furnished the Surabaya office with my account details for the refund. Until now, and after many inquiries at the Sempati office in Surabaya, I have not received my refund. Is Sempati's financial situation so bad that it cannot pay back the few rupiah it has collected from its PCC members?
