Wage Subsidy Assistance (BSU) is being prepared by the government for workers in the fourth quarter of 2026. This assistance is provided for the period of October to December 2026, with a total of Rp900,000 for workers who meet the terms and conditions.
The plan to provide the BSU was conveyed by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, following a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subiandum at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday (30/09/2026).
Schedule and Amount of BSU Q4 2026
According to news agency Antara on Sunday (04/10/2026), the BSU for the fourth quarter of 2026 will be provided at a rate of Rp300,000 per month for three months, namely October, November, and December 2026.
The government plans to distribute the assistance all at once. This means that workers designated as recipients will receive a total of Rp900,000 for the three-month assistance period.
The programme is aimed at approximately 13.3 million workers. The government has prepared a budget of nearly Rp12 trillion for the implementation of the BSU in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Although the period and amount of assistance have been announced, the government has not yet officially set the disbursement date. Technical provisions for the programme are still being prepared, so workers will need to wait for the implementing regulations to know the exact distribution schedule.
What are the Requirements for BSU 2026 Recipients?
The criteria for BSU fourth-quarter 2026 recipients have not yet been fully announced by the government. Therefore, it cannot be confirmed whether the requirements used in previous BSU programmes will apply to the 2026 distribution.
As a reference, BSU 2025 recipients were regulated under the Ministry of Manpower Regulation (Permenaker) Number 5 of 2025. Under those rules, recipients included Indonesian citizens holding a National Identity Number (NIK) and registered as active participants in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (Social Security Administrator for Employment).
Recipients of BSU 2025 also had a maximum wage of Rp3.5 million per month and were not civil servants (ASN), members of the TNI (National Armed Forces), or members of the Polri (National Police). Additionally, priority was given to workers who were not receiving the Family Hope Programme (PKH) in the current year.
These provisions are still recorded in the Ministry of Manpower regulations. However, workers must wait for the latest regulations to ensure whether similar criteria will be reused for the BSU in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Checking for BSU recipients can be done through the official website of the Ministry of Manpower at bsu.kemnaker.go.id.
However, as of 1 October 2026, the website still displays information regarding BSU 2025. This means that specific features or mechanisms for checking BSU fourth-quarter 2026 recipients are not yet available.
In previous BSU distributions, workers could perform a check by entering their National Identity Number (NIK) through the official website. The system would then display the status based on verified recipient data.

Workers are advised to wait for information updates through official Ministry of Manpower channels before conducting any checks. Do not easily trust messages or links claiming to represent BSU that request personal data, administrative fees, or registration through certain websites.

With the planned assistance of Rp900,000 for approximately 13.3 million workers, the government still needs to finalise the technical regulations for the BSU in the fourth quarter of 2026. These provisions will eventually regulate the recipient criteria, distribution mechanisms, and disbursement schedules.
