W. Jakarta blaze takes 30 homes

JAKARTA: A massive fire razed about 30 houses in the densely- populated area of Jembatan Besi in West Jakarta early on Tuesday morning.

The fire that started at about 3 a.m. in one of the houses rapidly spread to the others in the neighborhood.

Eleven fire engines immediately rushed to the scene and managed to extinguish the fire within about two hours.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. --Antara
