W. Australia's mission

JAKARTA (JP): Western Australia's Primary Industry Minister Monty House is expected here this weekend in a mission to boost Western Australia's exports of food, agricultural and fisheries products, the Australian embassy said yesterday.

The Minister will be joined here next week by Premier Richard Court, who will launch "Focus Indonesia" program in Jakarta.

This program will be attended by Indonesian agribusiness, food company, government and political representatives as well as some 50 Western Australian companies.

Focus Indonesia is an intensive 12 month project which will develop stronger relationships between Western Australia's agriculture, fisheries and food companies and Indonesian firms.

The minister said the main aim of the project was to increase the value of agricultural, fisheries and food exports to Indonesia from A$440 million last financial year to A$650 million in 2000/2001.

While in Indonesia, House will meet the country's largest supermarket chains, representatives of the local feedlot association and the Djajanti Group's fishing company, PT Daya Guna Samudera. (08)
