VT Markets Launches Finance Forward CSR Programme to Boost Financial Literacy Among Indonesian Students
VT Markets, a global online trading platform, has held two financial literacy workshops at SMK Tri Arga 2 in Jakarta. The activity served as the inaugural programme for Finance Forward, a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative by VT Markets conducted in partnership with YCAB Foundation. More than 120 students participated in the event and received training on practical ways to manage their finances.
Launched in July 2026, Finance Forward is a CSR programme by VT Markets targeting several developing markets. Through this programme, VT Markets equips young people with financial skills to better prepare them for uncertain economic conditions and to achieve long-term financial independence. The programme also supports the Golden Indonesia 2045 vision of transforming the nation into a high-income, developed country by the centenary of its independence. Improving financial literacy among the younger generation is considered essential to harnessing Indonesia’s demographic potential and helping future workers and entrepreneurs make sounder economic decisions.
Kicking off the Finance Forward series, the Jakarta workshop was designed to ensure the material was relevant to students’ needs. VT Markets’ local financial trainers covered several fundamental aspects of financial management, including budgeting and saving to build effective personal cash flow habits, making financial decisions by understanding everyday financial choices and their associated risks, and applying practical knowledge to connect classroom learning with real-life financial needs. To keep the learning experience engaging, participants also took part in group activities, interactive quizzes, and various games, with VT Markets distributing prizes and goodie bags throughout the event.
The activity reflects VT Markets’ approach to CSR by tailoring educational content to the needs of local communities. The company collaborates with local partners and community organisations such as YCAB Foundation to ensure the material remains relevant, accessible, and genuinely beneficial for participants. Following the launch in Indonesia, VT Markets plans to extend the Finance Forward workshop series to other countries in Southeast Asia before rolling it out to markets worldwide.
