VP to visit Bengkulu

JAKARTA: Vice President Try Sutrisno is scheduled to visit Bengkulu on Oct. 26 and 27 to dedicate several development projects in the province.

Among the projects to be inaugurated are the Air Kinal bridge, a palmoil plantation, a library and a student dormitory, Bengkulu governor Azis Ahmad told journalists after meeting with Try.

Azis, who assumed his post in July, briefed the vice president on his plan to build a 1,000 hectare forest reserve and an 11 hectare in-city forest.

He said his administration has also declared war on boars rampaging and devouring hundreds of acreages of food crops.(pan)
