VP to open ICMI congress

PONTIANAK, West Kalimantan: Vice President Hamzah Haz is
scheduled to open on Friday a national meeting and a conference
on sharia economy to be held by the Association of Indonesian
Muslim Intellectuals (ICMI) here.

Hamzah was expected to attend the event along with several
cabinet ministers, an organizing committee member told Antara on
Wednesday.

All representatives of ICMI provincial chapters throughout the
country and several branches overseas will participate in the
meeting.

Among the ministers to attend the meeting are Coordinating
Minister for People's Welfare Yusuf Kalla, Minister of National
Education Malik Fajar and Minister of Religious Affairs Said Agil
